You can apply for a role as a SAS doctor after a minimum of 2 years’ experience post foundations, so you would likely progress to this role after doing a trust grade post. It is also possible to use your experience to join the GMC Specialist Register at a later stage through the CESR (Certificate of Eligibility to Enter Specialist Registration) route.
