In our region we provide a three-step learning package to give trainees a greater understanding of basic research skills, how to develop those skills further and a better understanding of the clinical research network and how it works in the NHS. The package includes online learning, a two day methodological course, and assessment and feedback from a research mentor.
The course allows for assessment and feedback on research competencies relevant to training, as well as access to research mentors who have expertise and knowledge to develop research careers.
