We are joint with Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust and host placements for each of their trainees.
You will spend four weeks at Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust (CNTW), where you will get an insight into mental health pharmacy. CNTW provides mental health and learning disability services to patients across the North East and Cumbria. It is one of the largest mental health and disability trusts in England serving a population of approximately 1.7 million. A recent CQC inspection rated the trust as outstanding, one of only two mental health trusts in the country to achieve this rating.

Our trust is the second most research-active mental health trust in the country. It provides not only a comprehensive range of services to the local community, but also has a number of national specialist services with international recognition. We have a close relationship with our local universities in teaching, training and research, and work collaboratively with local acute trusts on areas of common interest, including service development, research and training.
However, in addition to this the candidate may be asked to attend community mental health teams and clinics across the trust.
